Shebook Poem #4
Spiders In The Night

Listening to vast distant voices
Dissonant and disagreeing
Telling tales of times that never were
I wonder and wander, lost outside time
Waiting for a ride that never arrives
Thumb out, shoes worn with walking
All this talking is turning me blind
I cannot see beyond my own mind
Keeping ghosts at bay is the way
To dispel spells woven by spiders
In the night before the birth of light
I delight in the games I play with myself
Saving my heart, it's there on the shelf
I carry no cares yet lonely am I
Wishing for fission and wanting to die
Do you see me, do I hear you
Are you real now, can I feel now?
